Air pumps for ponds and aquariums

An air pump pushes air through airline to diffusers or air stones, releasing bubbles that oxygenate the water and gently circulate it. It is one of the simplest ways to protect fish on hot nights.

How to choose

  • Output: check air output (often in litres per minute or hour) against your pond depth. Deeper water needs more pressure.
  • Outlets: single, twin and quad outlet models let you spread diffusers around the pond or run several tanks.
  • Noise: important for aquariums indoors or ponds near bedrooms.
  • Weather protection: keep pond air pumps dry, above flood level and under cover.
